Used Rover Mini

The Mini has long since been an iconic car, dating back to the 1960s. Rover released its own Mini version in 1988, and production went on until 2001. Speed is not really one of the strong points of the Mini, though the Cooper does beg to differ accordingly. The older Minis, however, come with slow acceleration, and evidently struggle when it has to deal with hills and mountains. Performance is not really a strong point of the Mini from Rover so if you are out for performance, then it is better for you to go for another model altogether. Still, you do get a decent ride from the Rover Mini, even if it is offered in just the 4-speed manual gearbox. If you are out for basic city driving, then the used Rover Mini should be included in your options as well. Minis have always been fun to drive, and this is essential when it comes to their appeal. Steering can be a little heavy with the Rover Mini because only a few models come with power steering. Still, steering can be nimble and direct, and you also get great traction when you deal with steep corners and sudden roundabouts. However, the Mini does not have that much to brag about its driving position so you might want to take a look into that as well. Space is not really a strong point with the Mini from Rover as well. Long trips can become too cramped for comfort, especially for rear passengers. If you have a lot of luggage for that long road trip ahead of you, then it is best to use another model altogether. In fact, no matter the amount of luggage you plan to bring, the Mini is definitely not a model you should use for such road trips. The gearbox can become whiny over time and this results to a bumpy and irritating ride. Better consider using another vehicle, and a bigger one at that. The Mini does come with a lot of special editions, and this leads to a wide range of fancy equipment as well. For starters, you get green metallic paint and a full-length electric fabric sunroof in the British Open Classic June 92 model. The last of the line models released in April 2000 even come with special trim and alloy wheels. In spite its small size, the Mini still comes with a fitted alarm system that effectively wards off thieves. The latter models are also fitted with airbags and side impact bars as standard features.
