Used Subaru Sambar

The VW camper from the 60s has to be one of the best-loved vehicles to hit the automotive industry of all time. And this is what the Subaru Sambar minivan epitomizes. Boasting of charisma that is very eye-catching, you can relive the good ol’ days by getting your very own Sambar minivan – and at just a fraction of the cost entailed in restoring and converting a VW camper! The Sambar minivan is based on the “kei car”. For those who are not in the know, this is actually known as a small vehicle in Japan. Its 685 cc normally aspirated engine is mounted right under the floor in the rear portion of the van. In essence, the Sambar is just your typical mini commercial van clad in a bodykit that resembles the VW camper. Since its bodykit is just a look-alike to the original, it is easy to underestimate what the Sambar has to offer. This, however, is a huge mistake. As soon as you find yourself at the wheel of this minivan and you hear that familiar buzz of the feeble engine, you just cannot help but smile. The minivan itself is very practical, with its twin sliding doors providing easy access to the very useful loading area. The loading area itself can be made larger when you fold your rear seats flat. Moreover, the used Subaru Sambar’s standards of finish vary greatly so make sure to compare as many cars as needed before making a decision. This may be a niche model in the market right now, but this minivan that boasts of low mileage can be bought at roughly £5,500. This is quite the bargain price already! Aside from the Sambar minivan, there is also another model from this make that deserves mention – the Subaru Sambar Truck. This truck is popularly used by delivery and logistics companies because it is quite handy with its 660 cc SOHC petrol engine. The truck itself is available in either 2WD or 4WD, whichever is your preference. Across models though, the truck has right-hand drive for its steering position. Transmission type comes in both manual and automatic so you can choose between these as well. Inside this 2-seater truck, you get a very simple yet efficient dashboard, complete with dials and knobs that are easy to operate. Power steering is also offered for this truck, so making those wide curves when doing deliveries is a notch easier as well. Seats and suspension are very comfortable – perfect when making those long deliveries out of town.
